AI startup OpenRouter has announced the closing of its Series B funding round, raising $113 million. The round was led by CapitalG, the growth equity investment fund of Alphabet Inc.
Founded in 2023, OpenRouter operates as a gateway and API for large language models (LLMs). The company's Series B funding follows a Series A round of $40 million in June 2025, which was led by Andreessen Horowitz and Menlo Ventures. According to reports, OpenRouter's post-money valuation has reached approximately $1.3 billion, a significant increase from its previous valuation of $547 million.
The company states that its platform provides access to over 400 AI models. This funding is intended to support OpenRouter's growth and development within the competitive AI market. The investment reflects continued venture capital interest in AI infrastructure and services.
