Last Friday night, three new decrees related to the payment of the PEPE Bonus and fuel supply were published in the Official State Gazette.

Supreme Decree 5633 extends until July 31, 2026, the deadline to collect the benefit of the Extraordinary Protection and Equity Program (PEPE).

Supreme Decree 5634 authorizes exceptional measures to guarantee fuel supply to essential institutions such as hospitals, emergency services, drinking water companies, energy, security, and defense. It also allows YPFB to set up mobile fuel sales points and establishes limits for the purchase of gasoline and diesel in drums, in order to prevent hoarding and irregular marketing.

Finally, Supreme Decree 5635 allows embassies, consulates, and international organizations accredited in Bolivia to import fuel for their own use as long as supply difficulties continue in the country.

The measures will be temporary and aim to ensure the operation of basic services and guarantee access to fuel in sectors considered priority.
