SEPANG, June 13 — One of the three runways at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) here, remains temporarily closed until 9 pm today following an aircraft tyre burst incident earlier.

KLIA said in a Facebook post that the temporary closure has been reflected in the latest Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), while operations on the other two runways continue as normal.

"Some arriving and departing flights may experience delays during the evening peak period.

"Our teams are working closely with the airline and relevant stakeholders to complete recovery works and restore normal operations as safely and efficiently as possible," the post read.

Passengers are advised to check with their respective airlines for the latest flight information before travelling to the airport. — Bernama
