Accelerating Global Reach: China's Robot Exports Approach 20 Billion Yuan in First Five Months of This Year

Since the start of this year, China's robot export scale has continued to expand, with an improving product mix, injecting new momentum into high-end manufacturing going global.

According to customs statistics, in the first five months of this year, domestically produced robots accelerated their march to the world. A total of 10.377 million units of separately listed robots were exported, with a total export value of 19.99 billion yuan, reaching more than 150 countries and regions worldwide. Among them, the EU and ASEAN are the main export destinations.

From a sub-category perspective, China's robot exports have formed a diversified matrix pattern. Cleaning robots lead the entire category, with exports reaching 14 billion yuan, accounting for over 70% of the total robot export value. Relying on core technologies such as autonomous navigation, automatic dust collection, and intelligent sewage circulation, domestically produced cleaning robots precisely match overseas differentiated living environments, offering significant advantages.

In the industrial application track, in the first five months, domestically produced industrial robots exported about 70,000 units, with overseas application scenarios continuing to expand. Handling robots equipped with visual recognition and intelligent algorithms are widely used in overseas infrastructure, transportation, and other large projects; welding robots with automatic scanning and modeling functions can calculate optimal process solutions in real time; collaborative robots are making a big impact in overseas light manufacturing industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, and daily chemicals.

In the emerging frontier track, exports of intelligent bionic robots exceeded 8,000 units, covering diverse scenarios such as equipment inspection, scientific research and teaching, and public services. Leveraging the advantages of a complete and comprehensive domestic industrial chain, the scale of China's robot exports is steadily expanding.
