A controversial bid for a major data centre on the outskirts of Norwich is expected to be submitted this month.
Developers Norwich Apex Ltd had intended to submit its plans for a 150MW facility off Ipswich Road, near Keswick, over the summer.
But official documents for the scheme are yet to surface, with protesters questioning when they are likely to appear on the South Norfolk Council website.
A spokesman for the developer says it is anticipating submitting its application to the authority this month.
The plans have drawn outrage from locals, with a petition having been signed by close to 14,000 people.
Much of the criticism is focused on the resources data centres require, including how much water they use.
However, Norwich Apex Ltd officials say the facility would use a closed-loop water cooling system, minimising the amount of water usage.
Critics have also described the proposals as a “blot on the landscape”.
The data centre is proposed for a site, close to the Harford Bridge Tesco, which already has planning permission for a 27-acre business park.
