The Dubai Future Foundation announced the conclusion of the second cycle of the Dubai Knowledge Community program (TKS Dubai), which is one of the largest global programs supporting innovation among school students and preparing future generations of future makers, empowering them with the skills and opportunities needed to shape and lead the future, and connecting youth with emerging technologies, real-world challenges, and global opportunities.

This year, the program graduated 160 male and female students of various nationalities between the ages of 13 and 17, an increase of 77% compared to the previous cycle.

This cycle saw a 97% increase in the number of applicants, and the number of participating Emirati students reached 61 male and female students, an increase of 65% compared to last year. The graduates of the Dubai Knowledge Community program, who total 250 distinguished graduates from both the first and second cycles, join the global Knowledge Community program community, which includes more than 5,500 students in more than 500 cities around the world.

The participating students worked on employing smart future technologies in innovating qualitative and practical solutions to competitive challenges presented by the United Nations, along with Expensio, a company concerned with developing the next generation of wearable optical technology, and the Lvable platform specialized in developing artificial intelligence tools.

The challenges focused on diverse areas such as the future of learning, helping athletes recover using optical technologies, supporting technological creativity, designing innovative solutions for satellite connectivity, accelerating the future of supersonic air travel, live hybrid data storage, clean energy innovations, biosensing with wearable devices to monitor symptoms of internal diseases, and nanomedicine applications.

The 10-month Knowledge Community program aims to empower participating students from various Dubai schools with the latest smart tools, emerging technologies, and future skills, and train them practically in a vibrant environment that simulates the work atmosphere of designing and innovating solutions in international organizations, technology companies, and global research and development centers, and opening doors of opportunities for them by facilitating communication and interaction with a wide global network of mentors, experts, and specialists.
