Regulatory agencies in Minya Governorate launched intensive campaigns on markets and food establishments in implementation of the directives of Major General Emad Kedwany, Governor of Minya, with the aim of tightening control over markets, ensuring the safety of food products in circulation, and protecting the health of citizens.

Seizure of tons of spoiled milk in Matay, Minya

One of the regulatory campaigns in the Matay center resulted in the seizure of 1 ton and 750 kilograms of spoiled milk unfit for human consumption, in addition to confiscating 5 liters of unauthorized materials used as additives or preservatives for food products.

The seized items were impounded and the necessary legal measures were taken, in coordination with the competent authorities, as part of efforts to protect consumers and monitor the quality of food products offered to citizens.

Unlicensed warehouse and confiscation of thousands of packages in Bani Mazar

In the Bani Mazar center, an inspection campaign managed to seize a food warehouse operating without a license, where inspection revealed the presence of 6,804 expired cheese packages unfit for circulation.

The seized quantities were confiscated and legal measures were taken against the violators, as part of ongoing campaigns targeting commercial fraud and preventing the circulation of non-compliant goods.

The Minya Governorate confirmed the continuation of regulatory campaigns in cooperation between the Supply Directorate, the Consumer Protection Authority, local units, and the Supply Investigation Department, to ensure the validity of food products on display and their compliance with health requirements.
