The Busan City Election Commission announced on the 29th that it has requested an investigation by the police to determine if there was a violation of the Public Official Election Act regarding suspicions of operating a mock election office (volunteer rest area) for independent candidate Han Dong-hoon in the Busan North Gap National Assembly by-election.

Separately, the Election Commission reported two citizens to the Busan Metropolitan Police for distributing about 1,000 bottles of water to Han's volunteers. They are accused of delivering a total of about 1,000 bottles of water to volunteers by motorcycle for free.

The Gyeongnam Geochang County Election Commission reported two election workers to the police on charges of illegally distributing candidate campaign business cards ahead of the local elections. They are accused of illegally distributing about 1,100 campaign business cards of a candidate this month without following the Election Commission's guidance, placing them in mailboxes, gaps in front doors, and car windows within the district.

An incident occurred where a former Gyeongnam provincial council member was arrested by the police.
