Road closed as emergency services attend crash in Co Carlow

Gardaí and emergency services are at the scene of a multi-vehicle crash in Co Carlow.
The road is currently closed at Leighlin Road, Graiguecullen, Carlow Town following the crash on Wednesday morning, with local diversions in place for motorists.
While Gardaí confirmed this is an ongoing incident, BreakingNews.ie reports that the incident involved a motorbike and a jeep, which failed to remain at the scene. Authorities are now searching for the jeep.
A Garda spokesperson told the Irish Mirror:
"Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision at Leighlin Road, Graiguecullen, Carlow Town, that occurred this morning Wednesday, 8 July 2026.
"The road is currently closed, local diversions are in place. As this is an ongoing incident, no further information is available at this time."
