MOSCOW, July 11 – RIA Novosti. Former commander of the 155th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been charged with illegal imprisonment and murder of two people, the military law enforcement service in the Ukrainian troops reported.
"The former commander of the 155th separate mechanized brigade... and all currently identified participants in the crime have been charged with criminal offenses related to illegal imprisonment and premeditated murder," the statement posted on the Telegram channel of the military law enforcement service said.
The agency clarified that it concerns the murder of two people. Those involved in the crime have been identified, and a series of arrests have been carried out in several regions of Ukraine. The military law enforcement service did not name the brigade commander.
Earlier on Sunday, the Ukrainian publication "Novosti.LIVE" citing the operational command "North" reported that the commander of the 155th separate mechanized brigade, whose soldiers are suspected of kidnapping two people, Stanislav Luchanov, left his unit without authorization and is being sought.
