PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia police are searching for a vehicle that allegedly left the scene of a fatal crash early Thursday morning on Rising Sun Avenue.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department’s Crash Investigation Division, the fatal crash occurred at approximately 1:45 a.m. Aug. 27 in the 5500 block of Rising Sun Avenue.
Police reported that the vehicle allegedly left the scene following the crash. Investigators described it as a 2023-2026 Kia Sportage X-Line in Jungle Green.
According to police, the Kia was last observed traveling east on Tabor Road from Rising Sun Avenue at approximately 1:46 a.m.
Authorities did not provide additional information about the circumstances of the crash or the person who was killed.
