Ferrari has launched the Luce, an all-electric vehicle that marks a significant departure for the luxury automaker. The car is engineered and manufactured in Maranello, Italy, and features a radical new architecture that combines an electric power source with Ferrari-developed engines and drivetrain components.
The design, developed in collaboration with LoveFrom, aims for clarity and simplicity across the exterior, interior, and interface. The Luce is configured as an all-wheel-drive, four-door, five-seat vehicle, described as the most spacious and versatile Ferrari ever produced. The company states this does not compromise performance.
Key features include a focus on aerodynamics, with Ferrari claiming a record-low drag coefficient for the brand. The interior incorporates a mix of physical and digital controls, and the vehicle dynamics are designed to offer comfort and refinement typical of an electric car, while maintaining Ferrari's road handling characteristics. A dedicated app is also available for climate control, charging, and status monitoring.
