Fire crews attended another huge fire in the open while a National Trust site was ablaze.

Crews from Long Melford and Holbrook were tasked just before 1.10pm on Thursday with a field fire in Felixstowe.

Fire engines attended the scene in Gulpher Road, finding flames covering an area of approximately 50 x 200 and engulfing six large bales.

Suffolk police were notified but a spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service confirmed no one was injured in the incident.

It follows an ongoing fight against a large wildfire that is devastating the National Trust site at Dunwich Heath.
