The Paraguayan livestock sector has marked a historic milestone after the country's first export of lamb meat was completed. The achievement was carried out by Frigorífico Victoria, a company that formalized the shipment of an initial load of 12 tons destined for the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to the company, the foreign trade pace already has a fixed roadmap: the next shipment, estimated at about 15,000 kilos (15 tons), is expected to be dispatched within approximately one month. Despite the enthusiasm generated by this commercial opening, the authorities of Frigorífico Victoria emphasized that the real challenge begins now. To sustain this export channel in the long term, it is essential to massively incentivize lamb breeding in the country. The executives pointed out that the main objective must be to consolidate a continuous and predictable production. In this way, Paraguay will not only be able to meet the volumes demanded by international clients, but also avoid shortages in the local market.
