Mirzapur News: Ganga's receding trend continues, water level reached 75.210 meters in the evening

Mirzapur. The water level of the Ganga is continuously decreasing, although the speed of water receding slowed down by Saturday evening. The water level, which was decreasing at a speed of four centimeters per hour in the morning, started decreasing at a rate of two centimeters per hour by 4 PM. The water level in the morning was 75.490 meters, which decreased to 75.210 meters by 4 PM.
Despite the receding floodwaters, the difficulties of the farmers in the riverside areas persist. Crops are starting to rot due to waterlogging in the fields and courtyards, and it is becoming difficult for farmers to even reach their fields. In villages like Harsinghpur, Mishradhap, Majhigawan and Chilh in Kon block, and Mediha in Sikhad block, crops have suffered heavy losses due to the flood. Concerned about crop damage, farmers have demanded that the administration immediately survey the damage and provide compensation to the affected farmers soon.
