They almost begged Trump! Greece heard the footsteps of KAAN: Stop this disaster
American Hellenic Institute (AHI) called on US President Donald Trump to withdraw the proposal for the sale of US-made F110 fighter jet engines to Turkey and to abandon any effort that could pave the way for Ankara's possible F-35 fighter jet purchase. The AHI, which strongly opposes the sale of F110 engines to Turkey, also demanded that all avenues for military sales to Ankara be permanently closed. Interpreting the decision as a disaster, the Institute expressed "deep concern" that the proposal for the sale of F110 engines had been formally notified to Congress.

AHI President Nick Larigakis, in a letter to President Trump, expressed "deep concern" that the administration had formally notified Congress of the proposal to sell GE Aerospace F110 engines worth over $700 million for Turkey's KAAN fifth-generation fighter jet program.
GREAT CONCERN IN GREECE
In the letter, they also expressed concern over reports that Trump is considering a possible legal path that would ultimately allow Turkey to acquire F-35 aircraft.
"DON'T SELL F-35s TO TURKEY"
The letter also called on Trump to reverse his current policy toward Turkey, stating that the proposed F110 engine sale should be stopped and Turkey should not be allowed to acquire F-35 fighter jets.
Meanwhile, the Greek press is following Trump's statements regarding the sale of F110 engines to Turkey with great concern. Recent news in the press stated that this development would cause KAAN to appear in the sky soon.
"WE MUST PRESSURE TRUMP WITH ISRAEL"
The Greek press, reporting that such a sale would be a disaster for Athens, called for pressure on Trump through the Greek lobby and in cooperation with the Jewish lobby, considering the November midterm elections in the US.
