CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Hamilton Lane Inc. (NASDAQ: HLNE) has appointed Hartley Rogers as co-chief executive officer alongside Juan Delgado-Moreira and moved Erik Hirsch into an executive co-chairman role, restructuring its leadership to pursue acquisitions, strategic partnerships and technology investments as the private markets industry evolves.
The changes shift Hirsch, who previously shared the chief executive position with Delgado-Moreira, toward long-term corporate strategy while placing Rogers in charge of day-to-day executive leadership alongside his fellow CEO.
Rogers, a Hamilton Lane board member since 2004, will retain his position as chairman of the board. He has been involved in the firm’s investment activities, client relationships and organizational development.
Delgado-Moreira has served as co-chief executive officer since January 1, 2024. The two executives will lead the firm from the United States and Hong Kong, respectively, maintaining oversight of its global investment management operations.
The leadership restructuring comes as Hamilton Lane seeks to capitalize on changes in private markets, including technological developments and an expanding investor base.
Hirsch’s new responsibilities will concentrate on strategic investments, partnerships and potential acquisitions intended to support the firm’s long-term growth.
“The industry is rapidly evolving, driven by both technological changes and an expanding client base,” Hirsch said. “In order to remain a market leader, this requires real focus on navigating these changes: Strategically investing our capital, creating partnerships to unlock new opportunities and tactically acquiring.”
Hirsch has spent more than 25 years at Hamilton Lane, holding positions including chief investment officer, vice chairman and co-chief executive officer.
He will remain on the board of directors and continue representing the company publicly, including during earnings calls and media appearances.
The arrangement separates some of Hamilton Lane’s strategic development responsibilities from its co-chief executive structure, allowing Hirsch to concentrate on corporate growth initiatives while Rogers and Delgado-Moreira oversee executive management.
Rogers said the leadership changes are intended to sustain the firm’s growth while addressing shifts in technology and investment markets.
“Today’s environment calls for dedicated leadership to drive strategic growth amid a fast-changing technology landscape,” Rogers said.
Delgado-Moreira emphasized the importance of coordinating the firm’s international operations and maintaining relationships with institutional investors and other clients.
“From Hong Kong and the U.S., we will work side-by-side and across time zones to build on that foundation, continuing to develop investment solutions around our clients’ needs and support their long-term success,” he said.
Hamilton Lane is a global private markets investment management firm headquartered in Conshohocken.
The restructuring places responsibility for the company’s operating leadership with Rogers and Delgado-Moreira while giving Hirsch a dedicated role in pursuing strategic transactions and other initiatives intended to expand the business.
