Israeli forces bomb building in southern Lebanon

Israeli forces have launched an air attack on a building in the village of Deir al-Zahrani in the southern district of Nabatieh, according to our correspondents, minutes after issuing a forced displacement notice for the site.

Israeli military spokeswoman Ella Waweya, in a post on X, told residents of the targeted building and neighbouring homes to flee immediately. She said the attack was in response to Hezbollah fighters launching an explosive drone towards Israeli forces occupying parts of southern Lebanon.

Israel illegally occupies 5 percent of Lebanese territory, extending 10km (6 miles) from the Blue Line, the UN-demarcated boundary between Lebanon and Israel.

The US military has released a video that it says shows the Iranian oil tanker M/T Kylo sinking in the Gulf of Oman.

It was one of three tankers reportedly targeted after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched missiles at US Navy ships around the Strait of Hormuz.
