Qa'ani: Lifting the Siege on Yemen is a Legitimate and Humanitarian Demand
The commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Iran, Major General Ismail Qa'ani, said that "lifting the 11-year siege on Yemen is a legitimate and humanitarian demand for the oppressed Yemeni people."
In a statement on Saturday, Qa'ani added: "It is expected that the Saudi government will benefit from the experience of the irrational and costly behaviors of the United States, and put an end to the siege of a Muslim country with a population of over 38 million."
Qa'ani continued: "Muslims around the world expect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which considers itself the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to direct its capabilities and resources towards supporting the Palestinian people and confronting the crimes of the Zionist entity, instead of continuing war and pressure on an oppressed Muslim people."
Qa'ani pointed out that "striving to save the oppressed Gaza is a source of pride, not continuing the siege of the oppressed Yemeni people."
