Israeli forces raided Shuweika, north of Tulkarm city, on Tuesday evening and set up two military checkpoints near southern Qalqilya and another at the entrance to Imatin village, east of Qalqilya, in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources said the forces fired stun grenades and tear gas, raided and searched the home of Nasser Al-Haj Saeed, and ransacked its contents. No arrests were reported, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
The forces also stopped Palestinian vehicles at the checkpoints and checked passengers’ identities, as part of measures described by local sources as collective punishment.
The raids come amid escalating Israeli forces and settler attacks on Palestinians and their property across the occupied West Bank, alongside continued efforts to seize land and homes and displace residents.
