Zelensky’s statements show Ukraine unwilling to pursue peace — Kremlin

He noted that Zelensky’s earlier threats of a 40-day operation against Russia are now backfiring on Ukraine itself

TURKMENBASHI /Turkmenistan/, October 8. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky’s confrontational statements demonstrate Ukraine’s unwillingness to pursue peace, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

He noted that Zelensky’s earlier threats of a 40-day operation against Russia are now backfiring on Ukraine itself.

"Such statements, as President [Vladimir] Putin has said, clearly demonstrate Ukraine’s lack of readiness and willingness to pursue any path toward peace. This is further confirmation of that," Peskov told reporters, commenting on Zelensky’s new threats against Russia.
