A 29-year-old man has been jailed for attacking police during race rioting in Ballymena last year.
Bradley Douglas was convicted of riot and other offences.
He was sentenced to five years, half of it in custody and half of it on licence.
He was arrested after being identified taking part in disorder at Clonavon Terrace in the town, the scene of some of the worst of the trouble.
Trouble broke out after two Romanian boys, aged 14 and 15, were charged with attempting to rape a teenage schoolgirl in the town.
The charges against them were later dropped after what a court was told were "significant evidential developments".
Police said the defendant was caught on CCTV starting the violence on Monday 9 June 2025 and throwing missiles at officers.
"He was identified as one of the main instigators of this riot - and was the first individual to attack police using masonry, metal poles and bottles. Other individuals joined in and began to act in a similar manner," said Detective Chief Inspector Michael O'Loan.
"Damage was caused to roads, homes, cars and local business premises with people left fearing for their lives.
"Our officers also came under attack and many left injured after petrol bombs, heavy masonry and fireworks were thrown at them."
The police said Douglas was also observed entering a house which had been damaged and throwing items in it at police.
The trouble broke out in Ballymena, but later spread to other parts of Northern Ireland.
