A man, identified as Maxuel Ferreira da Silva, was shot to death this afternoon, Monday, the 20th, in the Jatiúca neighborhood, in the lower part of Maceió. The victim was found already dead on the sidewalk of Travessa Santo Amaro.
According to initial information released by the Military Police, the body had several gunshot wounds. The crime was reportedly committed by two men who fled the scene after the shots, heading to an unknown destination.
Teams from the Military Police cordoned off the area for the work of the Scientific Police, the Institute of Criminalistics (IC), and the Legal Medical Institute (IML), responsible for the investigation and removal of the body.
