He allegedly knifed a three-year-old British girl and three other kids at a lakeside park in Le Paquier, south-east France.

The French public prosecutor’s office said on Wednesday that Hanoun would face trial next year after experts found that he was not “suffering from a psychological or neuropsychological disorder” at the time of the attack.

Hanoun will also stand trial for armed resistance, prosecutors said.

The Brit toddler was visiting Annecy with her parents and was one of four children hurt in the horror attack.

French prosecutors said she suffered a single stab wound but was never in critical condition.

The injured children were aged between 22 months and three years.

Two elderly adults were also hurt.

The update today confirmed Hanoun would stand trial at Haute-Savoie Assize Court in Annecy within the next year.
