Nepal says it will need billions in funding to rebuild after flash floods

Nepal is one of the most vulnerable countries to the climate crisis, even though it is one of the lowest emitters of global greenhouse emissions.

In the deadly flash floods on the Nepal-Tibet border – which scientists are still studying the exact cause of – at least 1,200 people have died and thousands more are missing.

BBC South Asia correspondent Azadeh Moshiri is in Nepal where authorities are trying to begin rebuilding amid the debris and rubble covering villages and roads.
