Up to two million for a house and 750 thousand for an apartment. New Green Savings changes conditions
Program New Green Savings (NZÚ) is introducing new conditions for financing energy savings.
- An interest-free loan for a complete renovation of a family house can reach up to two million crowns.
- For apartment buildings, the support will be a maximum of 750 thousand crowns per housing unit.
- Low-income households will receive a direct subsidy of up to 400 thousand crowns in the NZÚ Light subprogram.
The New Green Savings (NZÚ) program is introducing new conditions for financing energy savings. Minister of the Environment Igor Červený (Motorists) announced at a press conference that people will be able to borrow interest-free up to two million crowns for comprehensive insulation and renovation of a family house. In the case of apartment buildings, the maximum support will be 750 thousand crowns per apartment. Specific help is then waiting for socially weaker families, who within the NZÚ Light program will receive a direct subsidy of up to 400 thousand crowns.
Minister Červený confirmed the earlier strategy, according to which classic subsidies for ordinary households are ending and are being replaced exclusively by interest-free loans. The only exception to this rule is for economically vulnerable groups of the population. Those interested in these funds can start sending their applications from June 25.
Interest-free loans are intended for owners of family houses as well as housing cooperatives or associations of unit owners (SVJ). The repayment period will depend on the type of building and the complexity of the construction work, ranging from ten to 25 years. Direct financial subsidies are then directed to people threatened by energy poverty. This money will be used for smaller modifications, such as building insulation, replacement of windows and doors, purchase of a new ecological heating source, or installation of a renewable energy source.
