SPOONER - The Northwest Cleansweep hazardous waste “milk run” program, which is designed to accept hazardous waste from VSQG businesses, municipalities and schools, is again offering hazardous waste collections.
This year’s fall collection schedule is currently being planned and Northwest Cleansweep invites your participation. Items accepted are fluorescent bulbs, computers, oil-based paint, solvents or adhesives, antifreeze, aerosols, batteries, poison solids, pesticides (solid or liquid), ballasts and mercury. Contact Northwest Regional Planning commission with questions on what they accept.
Pre-registration is required and should be done by Friday, Sept. 18. Collections will take place starting on Wednesday, Sept. 23. There will be a separate pickup fee for this convenient service.
