HONOLULU (Island News) – Mayor Rick Blangiardi will discuss the city’s response plans and what residents of Oahu should expect as Tropical Storm Lala continues to move away from the state.

Tropical Storm Lala is moving west-northwest away from Hawaii, but its outer bands are bringing heavy rain and gusty winds to Maui County, Oahu and Kauai County. Flooding and mudslides remain possible, while dangerous surf and rip currents continue. Lala could strengthen back into a hurricane by Tuesday or Wednesday.
