COLUMBUS — Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Lt. Governor Jim Tressel, and Ohio Department of Development Director Lydia Mihalik have announced the approval of eight projects that will create 1,618 new jobs and retain 1,835 jobs statewide.
During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. The projects are expected to result in more than $133.1 million in new payroll and generate more than $1.8 billion in investments across Ohio.
OPmobility Exterior USA, LLC expects to create 541 full-time-equivalent positions, generating $40 million in new annual payroll by Dec. 31, 2030, as a result of the company’s project in the city of Rossford (Wood County). OPmobility develops and manufactures plastic automotive exterior parts and systems—mainly front bumpers, rear bumpers, wheel flares, and tailgates—and serves customers including General Motors, Stellantis, and Ford. The proposed project is a result of the company’s new Big 3 OEM contract for the production of bumpers, tailgates, flares, and other exterior parts and would consist of a build-to-suit manufacturing facility with access to major highways. TCA approved a 1.968 percent, 12-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.

Hikma Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. expects to create a total of 350 full-time equivalent positions, ultimately generating $28.5 million in new annual payroll, as a result of the company's projects in Bedford and Columbus. Hikma Pharmaceuticals is one of the top generic prescription medication providers in the U.S., offering both oral solid and injectable pharmaceuticals to a growing number of chain stores, wholesalers, distributors, health systems, and government agencies.
Hikma Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. expects to create 300 full-time-equivalent positions, generating $25.5 million in new annual payroll by Dec. 31, 2030, as a result of the company’s project in the city of Bedford (Cuyahoga County). The proposed project involves expanding production of injectables in Northeast Ohio as part of a companywide strategy to increase domestic manufacturing capacity. TCA approved a 1.878 percent, 15-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
Hikma Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. expects to create 50 full-time-equivalent positions, generating $3 million in new annual payroll by Dec. 31, 2029, as a result of the company’s project in the city of Columbus (Franklin County). The proposed project involves an expansion of Hikma’s Columbus facility to grow its contract manufacturing capabilities and add a new packaging line. TCA approved a 1.236 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
“Hikma’s expanded facilities in central and northeast Ohio will strengthen its ability to ensure patients have reliable access to the medicines they need,” said Governor Mike DeWine. “This significant investment reaffirms Hikma’s commitment to the state, creating high-quality jobs and signaling to the industry that Ohio will continue to be a major player in the future of healthcare.”
Aerovironment, Inc. expects to create 200 full-time-equivalent positions, generating $19,262,000 in new annual payroll by Dec. 31, 2029, as a result of the company’s project in the city of Beavercreek (Greene County) and the city of Xenia (Greene County). Aerovironment is a major defense contractor specializing in UAS, counter UAS, and space systems, including aerospace power and propulsion technologies and biological nanoscale technologies for the federal government. The proposed project involves building out an advanced manufacturing plant to biosynthesize dual-use materials that have important defense applications. TCA approved a 1.804 percent, 10-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
“Aerovironment's decision to expand in Greene County is another powerful signal that Ohio is the place where America’s most advanced aerospace and defense companies can thrive,” said Gov. Mike DeWine. “From Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the AFRL to the skilled men and women at work in Dayton every day, Ohio provided the strategic advantage and partnerships to bring these 200 new, mission-critical jobs to its cutting-edge facility.”
AAA Club Alliance Inc. expects to create 250 full-time-equivalent positions, generating $18.75 million in new annual payroll by Dec. 31, 2031, as a result of the company’s project in the city of Cincinnati (Hamilton County) and the city of Worthington (Franklin County). AAA provides roadside assistance, travel, car care, discounts, and financial and insurance services. The proposed project involves a significant renovation of the company’s longstanding downtown office to support continued growth across its multi-state territory. AAA’s investment will modernize the workspace, enhance member-facing capabilities, and accommodate more employees over several years as business demand continues to grow. TCA approved a 1.685 percent, nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project
Weidmann Electrical Technology Inc. expects to create 105 full-time-equivalent positions, generating $10,657,542 in new annual payroll by Dec. 31, 2028, as a result of the company’s project in the city of Middletown (Butler County) and the city of Urbana (Champaign County). Weidmann delivers advanced insulation technologies and accessories for transformer manufacturers and operators around the world. The company’s products include transformer boards, insulation paper and components, and transformer accessories. Weidmann plans to begin manufacturing its transformer board products at a facility in Middletown, in addition to the paper insulation already manufactured in Urbana. TCA approved a 1.726 percent, nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
Cologix, Inc., and Cologix US, Inc. expect to create 90 full-time-equivalent positions, generating $10 million in new annual payroll by Dec. 31, 2028, as a result of the company’s project in Orange Township (Delaware County) and the city of Johnstown (Licking County). Cologix is a leading network-neutral interconnection and hyperscale edge data center company. The company provides colocation and connectivity solutions to nearly 2,000 customers. The proposed project involves constructing two new locations and adding 72MW of secured power capacity over two phases. TCA approved a 50 percent, 10-year data center sales tax exemption for the project.
Killer Brownie LTD. expects to create 82 full-time-equivalent positions, generating $6 million in new annual payroll by Dec. 31, 2029, as a result of the company’s project in the city of Springboro (Montgomery County). Killer Brownie produces gourmet brownies in a variety of flavors, which are distributed nationally to retailers including Costco, Target, and Kroger. The proposed project involves relocating the current Ohio business and production departments to a larger space, and the company will combine production and warehousing into one facility to add automation and additional production lines. TCA approved a 1.811 percent, nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
