PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man suspected of vandalizing the bright yellow “YO/OY” sculpture outside the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History.
Museum employees discovered the damage at approximately 8:10 a.m. Aug. 14 at 101 S. Independence Mall, according to police.
Investigators reviewed surveillance footage that allegedly shows an unidentified man vandalizing the sculpture at approximately 8:11 p.m. Aug. 13 before entering SEPTA’s 5th Street Station through the southeast stairs.
Police described the suspect as a white man approximately 50 to 60 years old with extensive tattoos. He was wearing a white tank top, khaki shorts, and red-and-white Nike Air Jordan shoes.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
