Prostitution Ring Discovered in Small Italian Village of Pioraco

Pioraco (Macerata), July 19, 2026 – Online ads for a brothel. A home prostitution ring was discovered and stopped in Pioraco. A story like many others, but usually in larger contexts: in a town of just a thousand inhabitants, the impact is devastating. The local police station officers, together with colleagues from Fiuminata and Camerino, reported a 38-year-old Romanian citizen, resident in the Pesaro area but living in the small town, to the prosecutor's office for the crime of aiding and abetting prostitution. The operation was initiated following routine patrol services in the area by the military, who on several occasions noticed a strange and intense coming and going near the 38-year-old's home.
