The deputy recalled that on January 1, insurance pensions were increased by 7.6 percent, and on April 1, social pensions were indexed by 6.8 percent. "On October 1, 2026, military pensions are scheduled to be indexed by 4 percent. It is tied to the growth of monetary allowances for active military personnel, not to general inflation," Govyrin said. In addition, he added that point increases in payments may occur during the year. In particular, from August 1, the Social Fund carries out a no-application recalculation for working pensioners. As the deputy explained, if a citizen turns 80 in July or is assigned the first disability group, then from August the fixed payment to the insurance pension will be doubled to 19,169.38 rubles, and a care allowance of 1,413.86 rubles will also appear. "For those who quit in July 2026, from August the pension will come taking into account all indexations missed during work," he clarified. Earlier it was reported that the average pension of Russians in June 2026 exceeded 25 thousand rubles. The highest pension was recorded among residents of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug — 42,270 rubles.
