Search underway for mountain climbers in Kyrgyzstan, including two Belarusians
MINSK, 8 August (BelTA) – A search is underway in Kyrgyzstan for a group of mountaineers including two Belarusians after they stopped making contact, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
In Kyrgyzstan a group of three mountaineers, two of whom are citizens of Belarus, stopped making contact after ascending Mount Kurumdy (Pamir-Alay and Zaalay (Chon-Alay) ridge along the Northern Ridge).
Search operations are in progress. The Embassy of Belarus in Kyrgyzstan is in constant contact with the local authorities and relatives of the missing Belarusians.
