The National Rural Learning Service of Rio Grande do Sul (Senar-RS) has confirmed the main speakers for the 2026 Campo das Ideias Seminar. The event, which has established itself as one of the main strategic debate spaces on the future of agribusiness and society, will take place on July 9, from 9 am to 6 pm, at the Bourbon Country Theater in Porto Alegre.

With the theme "Knowledge journey for those who cultivate the present and want to build the future of agribusiness and society," this year's edition brings heavyweight names. The opening lecture will be given by economist, professor, and immortal of the Brazilian Academy of Letters Eduardo Giannetti da Fonseca, who will address the topic "Macroeconomic scenario and economic prospects for Brazil", offering a deep analysis of global and national trends.
Environmental sustainability
Another major highlight of this edition will be the participation of Jorge Meza, representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Brazil. He will take part in Panel 1, on the topic "Brazilian Agriculture and the environmental and food sustainability of the country and the world", positioning Brazil's strategic role in food security and global climate goals.
The forefront of economic growth and energy transition will be debated in Panel 2. The session will feature the perspectives of Leandro Luiz Zat, vice president of operations at Be8 – a giant biodiesel producer from Rio Grande do Sul – discussing "Agriculture's participation in the growth of Rio Grande do Sul and Brazil", along with the experience of engineer Décio Oddone, former director of the ANP, who brings his strong background in the energy, biofuels, and infrastructure sector designed for rural development.
Foreign market
To close the cycle of debates, Panel 3 focuses on expansion beyond national borders. Rafael Junqueira, fundraising director at Lactalis do Brasil, will debate the topic "Foreign market as a growth path", presenting the market vision of one of the largest dairy sector giants on competitiveness and international insertion.
The Campo das Ideias Seminar was designed to connect rural producers, workers, leaders, and researchers. Seats are limited, and Senar-RS advises interested parties to register in advance.
