Following an investigation, police identified Arias as the suspected shooter.
Detectives said Arias was walking on the street when the victims drove by and confronted him about his gang affiliation. That’s when Arias reportedly opened fire and shot the two men.
On Sept. 4, homicide detectives, with help from the Gang Suppression Unit, Career Criminal Unit, and U.S. Marshals, located Arias in Orange and took him into custody.
He was booked into the Santa Ana Jail for murder.
