Damascus, June 6 (SANA) The Internal Security Forces arrested Muhammad Bassam Hassani for his proven participation in war crimes committed during the ousted Al-Assad regime, the Ministry of Interior reported.

In a statement published this Saturday on its Telegram channel, the ministry indicated that Hassani began his criminal activities in the militia of the Al-Tarmah Regiment, belonging to the Air Intelligence of the deposed regime.

According to the source, the detainee participated in military operations in the provinces of Aleppo and Hama, as well as in the battles for the Kuweires air base.

Later, the statement added, Hassani joined the ranks of the Hezbollah militia and operated in Palmyra and the Syrian desert, where he has a long history of violations and crimes.

The Ministry of Interior specified that the necessary legal procedures were completed and the detainee was referred to the competent judicial authorities to conclude the legal process and ensure a fair trial.
