In order to deepen bilateral cooperation between Taiwan and Poland in the drone industry and supply chain, Michał Jaros, Undersecretary of State of Poland's Ministry of Development and Technology (MRiT), recently led a delegation from the Polish Office in Taipei, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), and government officials to personally visit the "Asia Drone AI Innovation Application R&D Center" (Asia Innovation Center) in Chiayi County. Chiayi County Magistrate Weng Zhangliang, together with Legislator Chen Guanting and multiple industry and academic representatives, warmly welcomed the delegation. Both sides hope that through this exchange, they can jointly capture the global strategic drone market.

Magistrate Weng Zhangliang pointed out that with the restructuring of global supply chains and national defense, drones have become a critical strategic technology combining smart governance and democratic supply chains. Poland, as a strategic hub in Europe, plays a key role in defense technology and supply chain resilience, while Taiwan has unique advantages in ICT, optics, and chips. Weng emphasized that Poland's drone industry is dominated by large, well-capitalized enterprises, while Taiwan offers flexible SME agility and support from emerging large capital groups. The two countries have highly complementary industrial structures.

Since its opening in 2022, the Asia Innovation Center has gathered more than 50 industry, government, academic, and research units and has attracted visits from 36 countries. The Chiayi County Government is fully cooperating with the central government to promote the "Asia Innovation Center Building 1 and 2 Space Renovation Plan" and is simultaneously planning the Minxiong Aerospace Drone Park and the Shuishui Airport medium-to-large flight testing zone, aiming to create a comprehensive drone industry ecosystem and manufacturing base.

The delegation also conducted in-depth exchanges with leading Taiwanese enterprises such as Xin Lefei, Zhi Fei Technology, Taiwan Hope Innovation, Kunwei Technology, Thunder Tiger Technology, and Coretronic Intelligent Robotics, fully demonstrating Taiwan's R&D and manufacturing capabilities in the drone industry and laying a solid foundation for future cooperation between Taiwan and Poland in both commercial and defense fields.
