Tula. June 19. INTERFAX - The Tula region has become one of the leaders in digital transformation among Russian regions, ranking fourth in the federal rating based on the results of the first quarter of 2026, the regional government's press service reported.

"The development of digital services remains one of the key areas of work. Today, residents can resolve many issues online: make a doctor's appointment, get a certificate, submit an application, send an inquiry, or process documents without visiting government agencies," the press service noted.

At a meeting of the regional commission on digital transformation held on Friday, Deputy Governor of the Tula Region Yaroslav Rakov noted that optimizing the work of executive authorities allows for increased process efficiency, reduced costs, and the allocation of more resources to the development of services for residents.

"Therefore, it is important not only to create new digital solutions but also to scale successful practices," Rakov emphasized.

Special attention is paid to artificial intelligence technologies. The region has implemented 12 AI usage scenarios in healthcare, transportation, public administration, and other areas.

By the end of the year, new solutions are planned to be launched, including the AI assistant "Hero 71," a virtual assistant for doctors, tools for analyzing citizen appeals, and a system for monitoring the execution of orders.

High indicators of digital maturity are maintained in healthcare and education. Residents actively use electronic medical services, and the platforms "Gosuslugi. My School" and "Sferum" are being developed. New digital solutions for the tourism industry are also being worked out, including the possibility of checking into hotels using the "Max" messenger.

It is planned that by the end of this year, at least 6,500 residents of the Tula region over the age of 50 will undergo digital technology training.

In parallel, work continues on import substitution of software. The share of Russian software used in the activities of regional government bodies exceeds 91%.

One of the most popular tools remains the "Goskluch" application. With its help, legally significant documents can be signed directly from a smartphone. Today, almost 200,000 residents of the Tula region use the service, and since the beginning of 2026, more than 2,600 new electronic signature certificates have been issued.
