Turkic States Forge New Space Cooperation Agreement

Turkic states agree to cooperate in space sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan have signed an agreement to develop cooperation in the space sector within the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

The document was signed in Antalya during the 77th International Astronautical Congress. Uzcosmos Agency Director Shukhrat Kadyrov took part in the event.

The parties concluded an “Initial Framework Agreement in the field of space industry for developing cooperation potential within the Organization of Turkic States.”

The agreement is aimed at strengthening cooperation among OTS countries in several areas of the space sector. These include the development of space technologies, satellite development, scientific research, industrial cooperation, and building professional and technological capacity.

The signing of the document marked another step towards establishing an institutional framework for cooperation among Turkic states in the space sector.
