VISITED MUNICIPALITY AND AK PARTY
National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, after visiting the Kahramanmaraş branch of the Turkish Veterans Association, went to Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality and met with Mayor Fırat Görgel. During the visit, Mayor Görgel informed Minister Güler about the efforts to rebuild Kahramanmaraş, particularly in transportation, infrastructure, superstructure, social facilities, and environmental investments.
Minister Güler then went to the AK Party provincial headquarters, visited Chairman Muhammed Burak Gül, and met with party members. After the visit, Güler went to the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Cultural Center and attended the AK Party Provincial Advisory Council Meeting.

In his speech there, National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler said that he came to Kahramanmaraş after the earthquakes and witnessed a painful picture, but today he sees the city rising again strongly. Stating that a total of 73,956 independent units, including 52,575 residences, 15,615 village houses, and 5,766 workplaces, have been delivered to citizens in Kahramanmaraş to date, Minister Güler noted that the current period necessitates not only rebuilding cities but also having a strong security understanding and a deterrent defense capacity.

Stating that developments in the near geography show that security risks and uncertainties are increasing, Minister Güler said:
"Despite this, Turkey, thanks to the balanced, effective and multidimensional policies pursued under the strong leadership of our President, continues to be the center of stability and security in this ring of fire. Our Turkish Armed Forces, who work day and night for the security of our country and our noble nation, add strength to our country's power with their high operational capability, qualified and devoted personnel, and modern systems. Today, Turkey's active role in many areas, from managing regional crises to contributing to international peace and stability, has become a strategic reality accepted by everyone. Today, Turkey is a country whose word is heeded at the table, whose power is felt in the field, that gives confidence to its friends, and is sought after in the resolution of crises. The duties performed by our Turkish Armed Forces in many geographies, the missions and exercises they participate in, and the distinguished level reached by our domestic and national defense industry are among the most important pillars of our country's successes. The successes we have achieved in many areas from our land, naval and air platforms to unmanned systems further strengthen our army's power while increasing our country's prestige and making exceptional contributions to our country's economy."
A TERROR-FREE TURKEY ALSO MEANS FASTER DEVELOPMENT OF OUR CITIES
Minister Yaşar Güler, who also showed the videos 'Commando' and 'Great and Strong Turkey' in his speech, stated that strengthening national unity and solidarity in such a critical period is of great importance, and continued as follows:
"Therefore, the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process carried out under the visionary leadership of our President is also a historic turning point. Undoubtedly, the foundation of the successes we have achieved to date lies in the sacrifices of our martyrs, the courage of our veterans, the determination of our Mehmetçik, the efforts of our security forces, and the support of our noble nation. A terror-free Turkey means not only the will to make our gains in the security field permanent, but also the faster development of our cities, an increase in investments, a rise in the welfare level of our citizens, and a much more efficient use of our resources. Cities like Kahramanmaraş, which contribute greatly to our country with their production, entrepreneurship, and hardworking people, will also gain significant benefits from this process. It is a fact that our country is a growing, developing, and strengthening country in every field today. With investments made in recent years in every area, especially defense and security, from transportation to health, from education to energy, we have achieved great development."
