In Kyiv, law enforcement officers have notified two members of a notification group of suspicion for attacking a veteran with prosthetics during a check of military registration documents.
This was reported by the Kyiv police.
The resonant incident occurred on May 21 in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital. As established by the pre-trial investigation, the conflict arose in the evening on Stetsenko Street, where a notification group of the Shevchenkivskyi District Territorial Recruitment Center and Support (RTC and SP) stopped a car to check the driver's documents.
Gas and punches: how the conflict unfolded
According to the investigation, during the conversation between the notification group members and the driver, who turned out to be a veteran, a dispute erupted over military service. The conflict quickly escalated into physical violence. A 35-year-old serviceman of the TSC struck the veteran several times with his hands on the body. A 38-year-old member of the voluntary territorial community formation (DFTH) used tear gas against the veteran.
"According to the forensic medical examination, the injuries sustained by the victim in the form of bruises are classified as minor bodily harm," the Kyiv police noted.
What the attackers face
Investigators of the Shevchenkivskyi Police Department, under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office, officially notified the suspects of suspicion.
The actions of the TSC representative and the DFTH member are classified under Part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional minor bodily harm). The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officers are establishing all circumstances of the incident.
Recall that in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital on May 21, representatives of the notification group beat an active serviceman with a first-degree disability, Artem Moroz, forcing his wife under threats to delete the recording of the attack.
The Kyiv City TSC confirmed the fact of the conflict with the use of physical force and announced an official investigation.
