A Ukrainian police officer died from his injuries last night after a Russian strike on the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia, reported Ukrinform, citing local authorities.

The number of wounded in the air attack has risen to 13, announced the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov on the Telegram app.

"The number of victims of the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia continues to grow," he wrote.

According to his information, the injured were affected by shock waves and shrapnel.

One of the bombs fell in the area of a multi-storey residential building. Two police officers were on the scene, performing their duties. One is the deceased, and the other remains in critical condition.

Another bomb caused damage in a residential area.
