Victoria Sibeya Appointed Namcor Managing Director for Five-Year Term

The National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (Namcor) has appointed Victoria Sibeya as the sixth substantive Managing Director of the national oil company, effective from 1 July 2026 for a period of five years.

Sibeya is no stranger to Namcor having served the national oil company in different capacities in roles such as the first female Geoscientist to Asset Manager, among others, since 2006.

Up until her new appointment, Sibeya served as Executive Upstream Exploration, a position she has held since April 2019.

She also served as Secretary for the Africa Region of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and is currently a Trustee on the Petrofund Board of Trustees.

Sibeya is a recipient of a number of awards including the May 2025 Rising Star Diamond of the Month Award from the Diamond Training Institute, Frontier Energy 2025 Emerging Leadership Award for future, International Energy Conference (NIEC) 2026 Women in Energy Leadership Award for her contribution to the energy sector and efforts to advance female interest in the male dominated sector.
