A new initiative for women whose husbands are currently defending the country is starting in Vinnytsia.
Over ten meetings, participants will work on emotional resilience, restoring inner resources, and overcoming anxiety with the support of specialists.
A psychological support group for wives of military personnel is beginning in Vinnytsia. The initiative is implemented by the charitable foundation "Caritas Vinnytsia" within the framework of the "Shoulder to Shoulder 2.0" project, which aims to help veterans, military personnel, and their families overcome life difficulties and receive psychological, social, and legal support.
The organizers emphasize that waiting for a husband from the front is a daily emotional burden that often goes unnoticed by those around them.
"Being a military wife means constant anxiety, responsibility for children, household chores, and the need to remain a support for a loved one. But support is also needed for those who wait at home," the foundation notes.
A space for those who wait
The new group is created specifically for wives of military personnel. During the meetings, participants will have the opportunity to communicate with women who are going through a similar experience, receive psychological support, and practical tools for coping with stress and anxiety.
The program includes ten sessions held once a week. Each meeting lasts one and a half hours.
Participants will be offered:
- group discussions and exchange of experiences;
- practical exercises for working with stress and anxiety;
- techniques for restoring inner resources;
- support in matters of mental health and emotional resilience.
"This is a safe space where you can talk about your own experiences without fear of being misunderstood. Here you don't need to hide fatigue or anxiety and constantly show strength," the organizers note.
