A wildfire just south of Hamilton has grown to about 1.5 acres as of Thursday morning.
The fire was reported Wednesday morning, with smoke visible to county residents.
The state Department of Natural Resources is responding to the fire.
Water scooper airplanes dumped water on the fire on Wednesday, according to WatchDuty.
Skagit County posted Wednesday on Facebook that, at that time, there were no known risks to the community.
The county said Skagit County Fire District 8 and its Department of Emergency Management are monitoring the situation.
