According to a new report, Apple has asked some of its suppliers to reduce production of components for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

The report, citing people familiar with the matter, claims that Apple cut component orders by up to 15% for October. The reduction is reportedly driven by weaker market demand amid soaring memory prices.

Meanwhile, the report also notes that demand for the new iPhones has been weaker than for last year’s models. However, another recent report painted a different picture in China, claiming that the iPhone 18 Pro models outperformed their predecessors in the market.

However, the report suggests that lower shipment volumes may not necessarily hurt Apple’s revenue, as the iPhone 18 Pro models are priced 10 percent higher than their predecessors. The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199 in the US, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max has a starting price of $1,299.
