De Pinto's balance sheet and thanks

In bidding farewell to Salerno, Engineer de Pinto expressed deep gratitude for the operational and administrative staff, emphasizing their competence and courage shown daily in the area. During his tenure, de Pinto strongly accelerated the strengthening of the Command's operational capacity, consolidating dialogue with local institutions and promoting fire prevention:

"I leave Salerno with deep gratitude. I carry with me the memory of an intense and valuable professional and human experience. I am certain that the Command will continue to grow under the guidance of Engineer Modesto, to whom I send my best wishes. To everyone I leave our motto: Nihil nobis arduum (Nothing is difficult for us)."

Profile of the new Commander: a career between emergencies and innovation

Born in 1968, originally from Calabria, married and mother of two children, Engineer Clara Modesto boasts an excellent curriculum. Graduated in Electrical Engineering from "Sapienza" University of Rome, where she also obtained a PhD, she was awarded the title of Knight of the Republic in 2020. She entered the Corps in 1998, served in Milan and Rome, over the years holding key roles such as Director of the National Operations Center and Provincial Commander in Latina. She already knows Campania, having previously led the Prevention and Technical Safety sector of the Regional Directorate. Her career is linked to the management of the most complex emergency scenarios in Italy and abroad. In 1998 she worked on the collapse of Via di Vigna Jacobini in Rome and in 2006 she oversaw the historic project of transporting the Itavia DC9 from Pratica di Mare to Bologna. Abroad, she coordinated Fire Brigade aid in Sri Lanka devastated by the 2004 tsunami. Before being assigned to Salerno, Engineer Modesto held the role of Head of the Prevention and Protection Service at the Chamber of Deputies and, finally, that of Director of the Higher Anti-Fire Institute (ISA) of Rome, the advanced training school for future leaders of the Corps.
