Russia: Ukraine attacked the transport building of Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant

Russia's controlled Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant reported that the Ukrainian army launched an attack on the transport building at the plant.

In a written statement on its social media account, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant stated that the Ukrainian army continues its attacks on the plant.

According to the statement, the transport building of the plant was attacked today, destroying 6 buses and 2 vehicles.

The statement noted that there were no casualties as a result of the attack and the plant continues normal operations.

Yesterday, Alexey Likhachev, General Director of the Russian State Nuclear Energy Corporation Rosatom, announced that a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle hit the power unit of the plant.

The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. The Russian army seized control of the plant in March 2022 after the start of the war in Ukraine.
