Another evacuation order has been rescinded in the Bald Range wildfire area near Summerland on Saturday.
The Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen Emergency Operations Centre has rescinded orders for lands east and west of Faulder and Darke Lake and a few properties along McLennan Road in Electoral Area F.

For fridge and freezer disposal, the District of Summerland is providing a free drop-off location at the Dale Meadows Sports Field gravel parking lot on Sat., Aug. 29, until 4:15 p.m. All food waste, debris, and other contents must be removed before appliances can be accepted.
The last day of operation for the Recovery Information Centre at the George Ryga Arts and Cultural Centre was on Friday.
The District of Summerland said Giant's Head Elementary School has been secured long term for the recovery centre, which will be open Tuesday to Saturday, beginning Sept. 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Services include information and resource support for needs arising from the fire, partner agency recovery and Emergency Support Services (ESS) volunteers onsite on Fridays.

The Bald Range wildfire has been listed as "held," meaning it is not expected to expand past its current established boundaries.
The Princeton-Summerland Road is closed to through traffic until further notice, except for residents with a Temporary Access Pass. Some properties remain on evacuation order, and residents and crews will be in the area.
