A large fire has broken out near Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, sending a plume of black smoke into the sky over the French capital's outskirts.
The fire started near the railway tracks of Louvre train station, close to the airport. The smoke is visible for several miles.
Approximately 80 firefighters are currently on the scene battling the blaze. Road closures are in effect, and two of the airport's runways have been temporarily closed.
Air traffic has not been affected by the runway closures.
Reports indicate that dozens of vehicles have been damaged by the fire. The fire is understood to have erupted in a car warehouse used by passengers flying through Charles de Gaulle.
Fire services are actively working at the scene and have advised the public to avoid the area.
The cause of the fire remains unclear at this time.
